Step one: Craft your speech content
If you are using foil:
For each slide, write down these four things
1) attention-getting opening statement (not the film title)
2) 2-3 keyPoints
3) story or experience that demonstrates your key points
4) use or value statement - why should the target audience?
If you are not with slides to create an overview, including
1) attention-getting opening
2) Key Points
3) Stories
4) Closing and Call-to-action
Techniques to help you include:
Short sentences
Active Voice
Replace the words 'and', 'but', 'but' with the times. Short sentences are easier to create two hear.Step: YourNotes and Practice your speech
Notes should speak to your submitted content. They are to be short and concise. The notes are not complete sentences, screenplays, essays, scientific and literary works.
Once you have established your content on your computer, take your time, your thoughts on paper or index cards by hand. This will help remind you what you want to say. Try it and experience the difference, before you skip this step!
Techniques to help you include:
Practice with yourhandwritten notes. Keep them in your hands and talking loudly.
Listen to yourself

To rehearse, set a room as close as possible to the way the real location will be set up. Although this is hard to do, the effort will pay off a substantial dividends.
